International Workshop on Trade Finance operations with special focus on Bank Guarantees.
Practical workshop on best practices in Bank Guarantees in MENA region (Tunisia, Egypt and Lebanon), explaining current developments and issues related to bank guarantee practices and laws.
Workshop will also focus on new developments in international Bank Guarantees with particular emphasis on new ICC publication - ISDGP + Supplement to URDG 758 ICC Rules for demand guarantees. Significant time will be devoted to operational issues, practical case studies, examples and open discussions on the topics covered.
This year, particular emphasis would be laid on the law and practices in Egypt, Tunisia and Lebanon!
Seminar Language - English with no translation.

Speakers:
Pavel Andrle
Mr. Pavel Andrle, BSc., LL.M is well known international trade and finance consultant and lecturer. He has worked for a number of leading local and international banks in various positions (e.g. as trade finance specialist, head of trade finance, trade finance risk manager, in-house trainer). He is the Secretary to the Banking Commission of ICC Czech Republic which he regularly represents at the ICC Banking Commission meetings abroad. He chaired the working groups of ICC CR which revised translations of UCP 500, UCP 600, eUCP, ISP98, URDG 758 and other Banking Commission documents into Czech language. He has been deeply involved in the revision of UCP as a member of UCP 600 Consulting group being formed by over forty experts from all over the world. Nowadays, he is also a member of ICC Task Force on Guarantees, also a member of the ICC Banking Supply Chain Finance Forum (formerly he was member of the Task Force for Forfaiting). In years 2010 - 2011 he also served as a member of the ICC Banking Commission Group of Experts which drafted the official ICC Banking Commission Opinions on ICC Rules.
Amr Kamal
Amr Kamal is a member of International standard demand guarantee practice (ISDGP) working group, He is also one of the Documentary instruments dispute resolution expertise (DOCDEX).He is from Egypt and a member of the federation of Egyptian banks, instructor in the Egyptian banking institute, expert in the Cairo regional center for international commercial arbitration (CRCICA), commercial arbitrator in the Egyptian ministry of justice and expert in front of the Egyptian commercial court. He has more than 36 years in guarantees business in many of international banks located in Egypt namely Societe general, QNB and Misr international bank (MIBANK).
Mohamed Amine Kasdallah
A Tunisian Lawyer holding a LLM in International Business Law from Toulouse University in France, having participated in many international legal conferences namely the New York Convention 14th conference,currently representing and assisting foreign companies in Tunisia.
